BDSM dating where your limits are on the profile, not in the small print.

Coywink is a private dating site and community for BDSM and kink. Dominant, submissive and switch are roles on your profile, every kink takes a stance from curious to hard limit, and munches and play parties are listed by city.

How to find the right person here

Roles
Dominant, Submissive, Switch, Top and Bottom are entries on a profile. Filter Discover by the role you are looking for.
What you are into, and what you are not
Rope, shibari, impact, sensation, leather, latex, service and more, each with a stance from curious to hard limit. A filter finds people who list an entry as into it, curious or switch, and show it to members. A limit, or an entry someone keeps private, never comes up.
People who came for kink
Here for: Kink narrows Discover to members who came for the scene, not for the lifestyle or the writing.
Munches first
Munches, play parties and workshops are event kinds, listed by city. A munch is the usual first step: a casual meet in a pub or a café, nobody in gear.

From a profile to a first scene

Your profile
List your role and your kinks, each with a stance and its own audience: members, friends, a partner, or only you. Limits sit on your profile as limits, never as interests.
Interest and the match
When interest runs both ways, it is a match, and your messages land in each other’s main inbox. A first message from anyone else waits in requests until you say yes.
Negotiation
Talk limits, safewords and aftercare in messages before any scene. The conversation stays in your inbox, so what you agreed is written down.
The first meet
A munch, or a coffee somewhere public, with no play. A second meeting is easy to arrange; trust lost on a first one is not.

Before a first scene

  • Meet in public first, without play. A munch is the classic place to do it.
  • Negotiate in writing: what is on, what is off, the safeword or signal, and what aftercare looks like for each of you.
  • Anyone who says safewords are unnecessary, or that a real submissive has no limits, has told you what you need to know.
  • Tell a friend where you are and when to expect you to check in. A safe call is common practice in the scene.
  • Start smaller than you want to. You can always add on a second scene.
  • Aftercare is for both of you, and the check-in the next day is part of it.

What we do not have yet

Said here so you do not have to find out after signing up.

  • References or vouching. There is no way yet to vouch for someone on their profile, so ask around at munches before playing with someone new.
  • A native iOS app. On your phone, Coywink is the installable web app: add it to your home screen and it behaves like one, with notifications.
  • A crowd in every city. The community is new and real, so some cities are still quiet. Nothing is seeded to look busy.

Questions people ask first

Is this a kink dating site or a community?

Both. Profiles, Discover and messages are for meeting people one to one; groups, writing and events are for the wider scene around them.

Can I list something as a hard limit?

Yes. Every entry takes a stance: into it, curious, switch, soft limit or hard limit. Your limits never come up when someone filters by that entry.

Do I have to say whether I am dominant or submissive?

No. Roles are optional, the kinks screen at signup can be skipped, and every pick has its own audience.

Are explicit photos allowed?

Yes, for adults, with rules. Everyone shown must be an adult who agreed to be shown. Each photo has its own audience, and it never reaches an ad auction or a training set.
